THE SCHEDULE

FRIDAY EVENING – For all who can arrive in Gualala in time, we start out with a cocktail party at my house, about 5 PM, for those who want to meet some of those attending the event and early enough for those to make dinner arrangements.

We now have what I call the best hamburger on the coast at Anchor Bay, The Redwood Grill. Also located there is the Café Pacifico for  Mexican food.  In Gualala you can lunch at the Sandpiper and dinner at the Gualala Hotel, the Oceansong, the Cypress Bar & Grill and the Top of the Cliff.

Other great restaurants in the area are the Sea Ranch Lodge, about 9 miles south of Gualala, and the Galley at the Point Arena Pier about 11 miles north of Gualala. A couple miles further north is the Old House Café at Rollerville at the turn to visit the Point Arena Light House.

SATURDAY MORNING - Tee times start at 8 AM, but you should be at the links between 7 and 7:30 in order to check in, meet the people in your 4 some, hit some balls and putt (practice).  The format, as in the past, is a 2 person scramble, with prizes for low net (handicaps to be determined by using the 'Gallaway' method) with additional prizes for 2nd & 3rd low net, longest drives, shortest drives, closest to the pin, driving the greatest away, etc.

Pacific OceanThe official rules will outline the specific holes, etc.  Green Fees are $50.00 this year.  Included are 18 holes, sharing a cart with your partner and a bucket of balls to practice.  The course has matured and has been in the best condition than in any past years.  It’s just as tough or more so than years before and the ruff’s are high and thick.  The holes are long (really long for me) so bring lotz of balls!  (And Tom, our Pro says he has plenty at the Pro Shop when you need some).
